Download the latest version of LYMAG Magnifier and then run the installment program LYMAGSetup.exe. The installment will be finished with the guidance of the default navigator without making extra setting.
If you are sure to no more use LYMAG, you can fine LYMAG menu in the "Start" menu. Select "Uninstall LYMAG" to finish uninstall with the guidance.
From "Start – LYMAG Magnifier" menu you can run LYMAG directly. If you have selected to put shortcuts buttons on the desktop or in the quick launch bar, you may click the shortcuts button to start LYMAG directly.
If you want to quit LYMAG, you can choose to shut down the main window or press "ALT" plus "Delete" on your keyboard so as to quit quickly.
The main interface of the started LYMAG is shown as follows:
LYMAG supports a magnification rate ranging from 1 to 32 times. As a matter of fact, too high magnification is meaningless in using. The most frequently used magnification is below 10 times.
You may adjust the magnification quickly in such four ways as follows:
●Clicking "△/▽" icon on LYMAG interface
●Pressing "ALT" plus "+" or "-" on the keyboard
●Pressing "ALT" plus "1" to "9"on the keyboard to quickly reach the corresponding magnification
●Pressing "ALT" plus sliding the mouse wheel to adjust the magnification
LYMAG supports three kinds of highlight prompts, they are mouse pointer prompt, text insertion prompt and screen focus prompt. They can be opened or shut down on LYMAG’s main interface.
● The mouse pointer prompt is used to point out the instant position of the mouse, and the default shape is a blue ring with the mouse pointer as the center.
● The text insertion prompt is to indicate the instant insertion position while text is being edited. The default shape is two red triangles pointing to each other in the position of the ext insertion.
● The screen focus prompt points at the objectives of the screen focus. The default shape is a green rectangle covering the objectives.
In the main interface of LYMAG program, the "Options" menu is shown as below.
Hide system mouse pointer
A magnified mouse pointer will be displayed on the screen while LYMAG is started. If you click this option, the default mouse pointer in Windows system will be hidden so at to avoid the disturbance of the two pointers on the screen.
Hide when minimized
This option enable LYMAG’s main interface to be hidden automatically in the system tray on the right bottom of the screen when the window is minimized. Double clicking LYMAG icon will display the main window again.
Invert Colors Display
This option realizes the inverse colors display of the magnified screen. With regard to those windows with large white background, the inverse colors display can effectively remitted the visual fatigue to protect your eyes.
Use high contrast
This option will open the high contrast option of Windows system to facilitate the use of the visually impaired friends.
Note: this option will change the Windows setting! That means when the high contrast option is opened, the high contrast mode will not be changed even if you quit LYMAG, unless you click again the "Use High Contrast" option in the menu.
Use high-speed image cache
Since LYMAG need to occupy a certain percentage of CPU and internal memory resources, this option is recommended to use in those computers with lower performance, which are mainly out-of-date, in order to reduce their CPU occupation.
The option will effectively reduce the CPU occupation except that it needs an extra 50M of system internal memory. The users may decide whether to use this option according to their computer performance.
Computer Performance Parameter
In order to cover the out-of-date computer, LYMAG offers a set of special options, which enable the users to select one according to their computers’ performance.
Clicking the button to the right side to the main interface can switch between the full screen mode and the windows mode. If the window mode is selected, a rectangle magnified window will show up on the screen and follow up the mouse pointer instantly. The image within the rectangle will be magnified on the screen.
● ALT + `(~) : Pause / Resume magnification
● ALT + 1~9 : 1X ~ 9X magnification
● ALT + -(_) : Decrease magnification
● ALT + =(+) : Increase magnification
● ALT + Mouse Wheel : Increase / Decrease magnification
● ALT + DELETE : Close (Exit) The Magnifier
